A02 Research how professional artists/designer present,promote,manage and sell their work

I have decided to research the work of the artist Catalina Estrada.
Like young artists hopefuls, Estrada kick-started her creative adult life by studying graphic design at her local university.
Estrada started of as a graphic designer working for magazines. She soon became bored with working for other people though and decided to quit her job and go back into studying. After a short time travelling she began designing on her computer and before she knew it there was a demand for her work from the internet. Initially it was barcelona night clubs that wanted her designs. She began producing her own designs for charity cards which proved to be very popular, so popular that the prestigious Grfik magazine picked her out as an artist to watch out for. Estrada was soon in demand from big companies all round the world, like Coca-Cola all wanting her todo designs for them.
I love Estrada's style of working and have tried to use it in my unit 3 work. She found fame through showing her work on the internet, so if I want to start developing a plan for promoting my own work then it must surely start with the internet.
